[OSM-talk] Tracklog upload directly from PDA

Ever since I got into OSM 23 months ago, I've uploaded GPX files
that I have created with Gpsbabel, running on a local host
computer (laptop or desktop, Linux or Windows). In my current
attempt to become more mobile, there is also another option. On
the PDA where I record a raw NMEA log, there is also a Wi-Fi
interface and a web browser that can upload files. This should
mean I can shortcut my local host computer. Should I try to run
Gpsbabel on the PDA, or should the OSM website be modified to
accept raw NMEA files by running Gpsbabel on the webserver? Raw
NMEA and GPX files are roughly the same size, so there is no
difference in performance during the upload.
