When I get some time for more renderer hacking (next week?), I'd be
happy to have a shot at writing per-region hacks for mapnik, hardcoding
in boundaries to osm2pgsql. Are such patches likely to be accepted?
In the case of Australia, the boundaries only need to be a very vague
polygon. For some other countries, this'd be harder, of course.
