[OSM-talk] Satellite Navigation map

I'm using a pocket PC with built-in GPS plus ODGPS for collecting data
to put into OSM. I also use the thing for sat nav, but my map is out of
date and I don't particularly want to spend £70 on a new map. So I'd
like to replace the map with the OSM map - but the format is different.
So the question is, would it be possible to write a converter to read
OSM's XML data and re-write it in the format required by the Navigon
software? The Navigon map (actually from Navteq I understand) is called
British Isles.map Does anyone know how to convert to the same format?
