Heee. There's a "major" highway (about 600km long?) from Perth out to
the wheat farming areas in the south-east of Western Australia which has
one lane (total) for a large portion of its length and the speed limit
is 110 km/h.  The one occasion I've had to drive along it I was doing
80-90 km/h, but other cars were going faster.  The road is fairly
straight and flat, and generally you can see for kilometres ahead.
There's also a gravel shoulder on each side to pull over when passing.
