landuse = forest_with_bunnies; end_date = July 2008
landuse = megamall; start_date = May 2010

So what do we render for the 2009 map? Maybe we need (say it quietly)
landuse = construction; start_date = Aug 2008; end_date = April 2010 ?

I'll ignore your strawman argument about allotments; that's not very -
ahem - constructive :-)
