It would be handy to be able to zoom in to (the bounding box plus a little
bit) of the current selection.

Say I want to change the position of something (eg a pub). I search by name
and select the one I want from among the list it presents me with. But I
can't see the selection in among the mass of data on the screen to locate it
in space. If I could put it in the centre of my screen at an appropriately
large zoom my task would be much simpler.
