They don't mean the same thing, IMHO. The Edge of Known Universe means "There 
is something here, but I have not mapped it yet". FIXME means "I mapped this 
zone, but I know it is incorrect/not complete".

In other words, it's the same difference between TODO and FIXME tags.

On the other hand, I'd rather call it "Here Be Dragons" instead of "Edge of 
Known Universe". Just think about the rendering ;-)
