Are you sure you can do this? Where in your license to use the
(copyrighted) Yahoo! imagery does it say you can release your derived
work to the Public Domain? Are you sure your derivations of Yahoo!
imagery aren't CC-BY-SA licensed due to the license on the imagery?

Oh, wait, nobody will tell me what the licensing of the Yahoo! imagery
actually is. I don't think "Ask Mikel and see what he says" is a
legally recognised license, btw. ;-)

Mikel, a plea from me - can we have a written license on what we can
derive, and under what terms, from the Yahoo! imagery? Something like

A) You may derive any geodata from the imagery, but only under the
terms of CC-BY-SA
B) You may derive any geodata from the imagery, but only for
assignment to the OSM foundation
C) You may derive any geodata... and license the result under any
license you see fit
D) You may derive ... and additionally release your work into the public domain
E) You can stop causing trouble, and actually go do some mapping...
