GET is what a browser does by default. Using your favourtie browser,
type this into the URL field:
http://www.openstreetmap.org/api/0.3/segment/22/history
You are then challenged for the mysterious Ruby Auth - this is your
credentials to access the API, the same username and passowrd that you
use to sign into the Map page, or to use JOSM or your favourite
editor.
If your auth is accepted, you will probably be presented with a blank
page. Click "View Page Source" and you will see OSM XML of the
objects you requested. Thsi works for nodes and segs, but is broken
for ways.
