[OSM-talk] JOSM, mappaint, and segment/way colors

Hi there,

I'm currently using JOSM, plus the mappaint plugin.

The problem is, I lose track of which segments are part of a way, and which 
ones aren't. With mappaint disabled, segments render differently than ways. 
However, with mappaint enabled, a segment with no attributes renders just the 
same as a way with no attributes.

Is there any way (tweaking the elemstyles.xml file, maybe?) to make mappaint 
render "lone" segments (not belonging to any way) different than ways??
