[OSM-talk] elemstyles in JOSM

Hi,

I tried to add further styles to elemstyles.xml, but it seems to have 
less effect on some tags. For example I tried

<rule>
<condition k="waterway" v="river"/>
<line width="2" colour="#00008b" />
</rule>

or even

<rule>
<condition k="highway" v="service"/>
<line width="1" colour="#ff00ff" />
</rule>

but both don't take any effect, even that I copied them from working 
tags (the "residential" highway just renders fine). Anyone has been 
successful with those tags?
