[OSM-talk] OSM Java Applet

I use the Applet quite a lot and find the timeouts, speed and size of editing window frustrating.
Tried this out and am impressed.
Would find the extra working area really useful, particularly if working on a long linear feature.
Also knowing that you can carry on editing and that stuff you have done will upload eventually is great.
Obviously it would be ideal to have instant response to any activity but that is just a dream.
As far as added features, the most useful for me would be adding a node to an existing way. It is when in applet editor that you notice misalignments that can only be addressed by adding node(s).
Only comment about the implementation is that the new node colours (the 2 purples) are too dark for me against the background.
Well done.
Cheers
STEVE

The ten minutes time-out works quite nicely for me and it reduces the
server load. However it would be nice to have the retry in addition the
extended timeout.
My main itch was to get it fullscreen which is possible now.
Other things that come my mind which would be nice to have:
* insert node into segment
* menu accessible by keyboard short-cuts
* delete segments (currently seems only to delete nodes)
* more speed up
Marcus
