For the record, it is generally considered bad practice to draw line
segments in an off-line editor and not upload the associated GPX tracks.
GPX tracks are 'proof', that you went out and did the mapping yourself, and
give OSM an extra line of defence in the case of a legal challenge. Some
people even save all the photos of street signs that they take whilst
mapping, all of which help prove the provenance of OSM data.
