Heh, I was just about to post on this topic and Frederik Ramm has  
posted something very germane to dev:

says:

"For a cost of £25,000, customers can lease the satellite for a period  
of a week and control its schedule of imaging operations"

I reckon we do it.

As soon as we announced it, we'd get Slashdotted and the £25k would be  
pledged within no time.

Plus imagine what open/free high-resolution imagery would do to the  
global geodata market. It'd be like lobbing a brick through the global  
imagery guys' window and walking away cackling.
