[OSM-talk] Name pre/suffixes

One think that struck me as I glanced at the AND spec is that we
currently have no means of specifying name suffxes. Their example states
(bei Wien=close to Wien) clarifies things if there are multiple places
with that name.

Something like this would be very useful here in Switzerland where there
are e.g. several places called "Gossau" but they are Gossau (SG) and
Gossau (ZH) depending on which region they are in. Name prefixes could
help clarify that. I don't want to add the suffix in the name field as
it's not necessarily part of the name.

Should we have something like that in OSM as well. Would it be worth to
introduce a name_suffix= tag to the proposed features page? What do
people think?
