Sorry, it's bzcat planet...bz2 | ./gosmore rebuild
If the unzip was successful, you now have a 4GB file on your disk and
you can run
cat planet..osm | ./gosmore rebuild
But you may want to rezip the file to save space : bzip2 planet..osm
