Or we could just buy 10km * 10km squares from GetMapping for £350 at 1m
resolution (and that's the standard price, we could probably negotiate
discounts). The license will probably mean that we can't share the
photos across the whole project - individuals would have to take a photo
(or a portion of a photo) and promise to trace all of it themselves.
Possibly we won't be allowed to exchange the photos over the web, only
by posting CDs to each other - it's not clear. Shall I e-mail their
sales people about it?

It comes with a license to make 10 hard copies, so that would be ideal
for something like the sheffield mapping party (where you would make
just one or two hard copies, slice them up, and hand them out to people,
as at the London Mapping party)

P.s. The GetMapping returns policy is interesting: "... send the digital
product together with the returns reference number to
returns at getmapping.com or on a floppy disk or CD-ROM to ...". I couldn't
have made it up.
