My GPS receiver (WBT-201) has a logging function by angle, i.e. on a straight
path, there is no logging at all, in curves there is dense logging. Works
well in a car for roads. For me that makes a lot of sense for OSM waypoints.

Quite useful would be to convert GPS points in a region to waypoints (often
there are measurement errors at the beginning of a path).

Thanks,
Rainer
