[OSM-talk] JOSM wishlist: forget and undo download

Sometimes I download a little too much into JOSM. I don't know the
default memory size for the JVM, but my machine only has 512 MB
RAM anyway and JOSM starts to get slow when I edit .osm files that
are larger than 5.5 MB. If I edit things in one region, such as
one half of a city, or an island near a mainland coast, I
sometimes download parts of the mainland or other half of the city
by mistake.
This is when I wish I could "undo" one download batch. Or make
JOSM "forget" that it downloaded an area that I select.
I could in theory simulate this by saving the .osm file, use a
text editor to edit out the objects from that area, and load the
.osm file into JOSM again.
