hi,
I just finished my first potlatch session (not just some random tries, but
4hours+ of potlatch).
Here some comments:
- I once splitted a way, and when I tried to move the next node the whole way
was duplicated (which I fixed in JOSM). Didn't retry though.
- Is there a way to disable the yellow rectangle when moving nodes? I spent
some time rectifying existing ways, and most nodes only needed small
adjustements. I think it was finally more difficult to adjust the existing
way, than to recreate it. (maybe next time).
- it's currently nearly impossible to do nice roundabouts. The yellow
rectangles make small movements impossible, and it's not possible to zoom in.
At a certain level the Yahoo-imagery isn't available and instead of zoomed
images the background becomes white. The nodes themselves are zoomed however
(which makes for instance selecting them separately quite difficult).
- The 'escape' button to abort current modifications is not bad. But it should
ask, once a certain number of nodes are going to be deleted. Lost about 50
nodes on a bad "escape"... :(
- I didn't find a way to delete segments. (After some time I finally used
JOSM).
- Is there a way to make potlatch reload its data? Some manipulations are
easier in JOSM, and I would like potlatch to see the uploaded modifications.
- It would be nice to see the nodes on existing ways. Parallel ways should
have the same number of nodes (at approximately the same distances), and this
is currently not possible. When creating new ways one can just move over the
other way to see the nodes, but when adjusting existing ways this is not
possible.
Creating new ways is however a real pleasure (except for the roundabouts).
