There must be many examples of this. For example near where I am at
Canary Wharf, many of the former docks are known by multiple names.

South Dock Drawbridge (over the lock leading out of South Quay to the
Thames, connecting the Isle of Dogs) is known locally as "The Blue Bridge"

The Green Bridge at Mile End Park however, is officially called The Green 
Bridge, even though it is yellow. :-)
