Ok, fixed.
I've also changed the style file to use the church symbol ONLY for
religion=christian (and not as a default), and to use the same symbol
used four mountain peaks (which is a little triangle pointing upwards)
as a default symbol. That is certainly not the right symbol but at
least it seems less wrong than using a church symbol for non-christian
venues.
This will likely lead to complaints in places where people haven't
bothered to put a religion=christian in the past and now see their
churches being replaced by a triangle symbol.
