Yes, there are. Someone has a spelling correction tool that runs when
there is a new planet file. I have another method which I am testing.

It would make sense to have a generic landmark symbol, yes, but I think
it would also make sense to have a place of worship symbol for unknown
religions. Otherwise we'll have to define symbols for all of the
thousands of religions out there.
