I agree it must be kept up to date and "dead lists" should be deleted
on the spot (perhaps just saving a backup somewhere). The problem is
that with the openstreetmap-map-icons_5037_all package came an
icon.xml
* This file is not in line with "map features" because it refers to
"ice cream parlour" which is not even in "Proposed features" and
without underscores.
* Allthough its format very similar to elemstyles.xml, there
differences w.r.t. the paths.

Which list is dead and when will it disappear ?
