Last week I spoke to one of the Openmoko-developpers and if I got him
right that's gonna be solved in the next hardware-version. AFAIR they're
currently using Sirf, which has a closed-source firmware, but open
interface specs. The new hardware (coming next february) includes an
uBlox-receiver which has open-source firmware.
