That wasn't my point. The point was to have a standard obvious place to
look for the next version of the site. It needs to be called
http://test.openstreetmap.org/ or http://beta.openstreetmap.org/
and it needs to not be something like
http://dev.openstreetmap.org/~richardf/beta/potlatch-with-undo
which is what is possible on the current dev server setup.

It can also be a place for newbies to experiment knowing that if they
mess things up, it won't be a problem, the real data won't have been
touched. Also beta bulk upload scripts / editing bots could be tried
against it etc.

The database should probably be ditched and reloaded from planet once a
week.
