Well that is always a problem...
I have the opposite problem - a road near me is on OSM as the B180 even
though I know that it is no longer a secondary road. There are two road
signs that say it is however, and I only know it isn't because other maps
and the Herts CC gazeteer say so.
In fact if you look really closely at one of the signs you can see
that under the B180 marker (which is stuck on) is a A number from
when it was still an A road!
