Folks,
This email only applies to those registered OSM users who had uploaded
GPX tracks prior to 5th November 2005. Prior to that date the server
would import the gpx track data and then throw away the original file.
When the migration to API 0.5 occurred a short time ago the whole of
the gpx database was recreated using the original files. However any
original data from before Nov 5th 2005 would not have been available
for this process.
There were only 745 registered users at the time so I doubt this email
will affect many.
If you have your original traces as they were uploaded from before
this date and would like to see them back in the database then please
send them to Tom Hughes via email (or send him a link to where he can
grab them) with a note of the OSM Username. Tom has the original sql
data which includes the information on the tags etc that were created
by users when the traces were originally uploaded so by sending to
him (rather than uploading again yourself) they will appear with the
correct tags and in the original order position in your traces list.
Cheers
Andy
