Thanks for the suggestions so far.

Are any shops rendered on any of our maps yet? I ripped of the P for
car parking to make a C for cycle parking (ala
http://www.gravitystorm.co.uk/osm/?zoom=16&lat=6810301.96243&lon=128463.70236&layers=B00
). That also gives people a size indication - careful use can get
something complex like that toilet symbol in, but they aren't the
largest canvases to play with.
