[OSM-talk] building numbers

Hi,

What is the proper way to tag building numbers? I have not found
corresponding tag on
http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/index.php/Map_Features

The tag should somehow relate building number to street it is on, so
that mapping software can pinpoint certain building on the map and
provide routing information accordingly. The relationship would enable
the mapping software to extrapolate building numbers for untagged
buildings, based on numbers of buildings in vicinity.

The tag would be useful in other situations, like when buildings are
dispersed in an area.
