Sorry Nick, but I prefer planning at home in stead of in a pub. Today I
planned a continuous walkingtour (130 km) in the New Forest area.:
1. Searched for (walking-)gaps on the osm-map which could be linked to
each other.
2. Gathered pathes on these gaps with google satelite and/or 'rights of
way' on the OS.
3. Drow a continuous route through/around new forest in which I took as
much gaps as possible, but also tried to get myself a nice, variable
walkingtour.
You can find my route on the frontpage of http://www.opentrail.net. I
will start fridaymorning in Romsey, walk counterclockwise around/through
New Forest, and hope to arrive in Southampton on monday late in the
afternoon. I hope you can fit my plan in the overall schedule for the
weekend. Would be nice if we can have one or more rendez-vous' this
weekend.
I will make long days this weekend and will pitch my tent anywhere I
will be after sunset. But if somebody knows of nice places along the
route for my tent, please let me know !
See u, Rik
