You're free to create an email account on gmail or anywhere just for
this mailling list if you don't want to give your real email address.

Maybe we're in 2007, but it doesn't mean email is deprecated. You don't
have the choice of the interface when using a forum while there are
thousands of emails clients available, making it much more efficient to
use if using the one that you like.
