I think we would all love to have some entry-level "error reporting"  
tool where anyone could just click on the map and enter some sort of  
textual comment.

This could probably be implemented on top of the OpenLayers-based  
slippy map. We'd have to store the results somehow - maybe in the  
form of nodes stored in the database, using a special user account  
created for the purpose. If anyone is willing and able to tackle  
that, I am sure that would be met with approval (even praise!) by the  
community. (We'd still prefer people to log in and fix stuff  
themselves but failing that, a quick note for others to fix is better  
than nothing.)

I would not tie this to "links to other maps" or so - this just  
creates the suspicion that we *might* copy data from them, and is  
unnecessary.
