Nope. It's all still rather experimental. There are no more instructions :-)
check if the osm-map-feature stylesheets are configured and existing for the zoomlevels in layers.conf.
make sure that the Layers=default is commented out (obviously). Otherwise I don't know what could have gone wrong. There is one debug setting somewhere which will be more verbose, i believe.
