Vice versa. There are also many, many examples of correct tagging
without additional node. Adding some crude osmarender-tag to them will
also take many hours of work.

But the people who placed nodes inside areas, because they wanted to see
a shiny icon in the map did so in contradiction to the rule not to map
for the renderers. Or is there anything interesting (in terms of
geodata) about some random spot inside a parking-lot? So when these
people were willing to spent time in making nice icons appear to get a
beautiful map they shouldn't hesitate to make nice icons disappear to
get a beautiful map.

BUT they could also wait until there's even further improvement of the
renderers, as they should have done in the first place. There's
improvement everywhere and all the time while your argumentation seems
to claim OSM being in some kind of stable branch.

There was some hotshot-mapper in this area who tagged cafe's and delis
as tourism=attraction just to see them on the map.
