[OSM-talk] Commercial GeoNames

Hi,

   GeoNames say they'll gradually reduce the number of queries that  
can be made for free, and at the same time set up a commercial  
programme with preferred treatment for those who pay:

At first I thought, yuck, another cddb story, but as far as I can see  
anyone could download their data and offer the same commercial  
service if they thought it viable, so they're not (ab)using a  
position of power there...
