[OSM-talk] JOSM and data set size

Ludwig,

I should point out that you cannot guarantee someone is not editing in your
area so its best always to work with the main API for data edits. Most of us
work on an area which cannot be downloaded in total via the API so we are
used to downloading only the area that relates to the track we just
collected. Obviously osmxapi is great for then working and rendering the
data but try not to rely upon it for live data edits.
