I attached in the discussion page some links about another supplier:
SPOT5 satellite imagery  which seems to be much cheaper : 2€ per sq.km

in about 30 countries.

Resolution is 2.5 m. Price is 2.0€ per sq.km (see the service price
called SPOTMaps). Minimum billing is 20€ till 1000 km2. Location
accuracy is 10 to 15 m RMS, depending on country.
