MediaWiki search is pretty weak in general. If this is a specific issue for
those terms, consider making a page that links there directly.

Maybe the search index is out of date...

In some wikis, user pages are deliberately set up not to appear on Google.
Google a few users I can think of turns up nothing, but googling "user site:
wiki.openstreetmap.org" does show hits, so I guess Google's index is just
out of date.
