The OSM Mapper product from ITO World ( http://www.itoworld.com ) allows
you to monitor changes in an area. It is free to subscribe to. It
doesn't monitor changes to nodes and can take a day or two to catch up.
Their links to OSM information pages (user profile, map, object history)
work well. You can get the changes to an area reported to your favourite
RSS reader.
