The reason it is overloaded is to keep it short, but at the same time
it's partially descriptive, the 2 different pieces of rendering
software do render differently, I dislike the other suggestions
because they are too vague, that is of course unless you are
suggesting we start making different style sheets on a per country
basis?

Would you prefer "OSM London style using Mapnik" and "OSM Canadian
style using Osmarender" ?
