actually I'd like different styles by country (with fallback to a
region standard, say per continent or sth. similar) but then not on
separated layers but stitched together as one singular map. You could
have local road colours and ref-markers, local traffic signs and
transportation signs (subway, Busstops etc.). For transportation (or
other) that could even be signs on an individual/network basis.
