Part of 1. and 3., i.e. don't consider it an "issue".  Matt's script
detects nodes that share coordinates, whether correctly or not.  If
you start placing / tagging nodes so as to avoid them appearing on
Matt's dupe nodes site or to quiet the JOSM validator, that sounds
like tagging for a given tool and sounds equally bad as using tags to
"color" an area on mapnik.
