[OSM-talk] Osmconvert problems

Win 7 64 bit using win 32 bit osmconvert.exe

I'm trying to cut out a bounds area out of ontario.osm. bz2 from
http://downloads.cloudmade.com there doesn't seem to be a .pbf file
available.

I've inflated it to ontario.osm which is over 4 gigs in size.  Osmconvert
will strip out the author tags for me leaving a file of 2.46 gigs for what
I'm doing I don't need the author tags.  Both files appear to be too large
to load into JOSM.


osmconvert ont.osm -b=45.19,-75.70,45.23,-75.63 >ott.osm

creates a file with no data in it.

osmconvert ont.osm -b=45.19,-75.70,45.23,-75.63 -o=ott.osm

Does the same.

Any suggestions?
