Is there an easy means to spot changes in a particular area?

I did have an rss feed on from http://osm-changepipe.s3.amazonaws.com
but that stopped updating at the beginning of March.

The main osm website shows changes in an area, but includes global type
edits so sometimes spotting changes that affect the area can be like
looking for a needle in a haystack.
