Right now the control and status bars are a bit technical and popup 
behaviour is incomplete. Improving colors is also on the todo list, the 
idea is to have a choice of themes to better suit people's needs and 
preferences.

I don't think it would make much sense to scan minutely augmented diffs 
for longer periods, I find it already a bit of an overkill. There are 
some options though, but as the new OWL History Tab/-Viewer is going to 
provide a similar feature, I'm not sure whether to continue in that 
direction or to focus on short-term and live viewing.
