Well we wouldn't take away their freedom to do research; we just
wouldn't participate in research carried out by people who are not
willing to spend a couple hours getting to understand what OSM is about
at its core!

I think that would be totally legitimate on our part, and I really do
believe that anyone's research about OSM is going to be better if
they've just spent a couple hours mapping.

(FWIW, the research that spawned this particular thread was carried out
by someone with proper mapping credentials.)
