isn’t the idea of nuclear weapons that you make their existence known and prove you have a certain quantity, so that your enemies become too afraid to attack you? For strategic missiles it should not be a problem when their positions are known. Apart that many are on submarines, probably enough to arrange for some years of nuclear winter and destroy the biosphere.
