[OSM-talk] Racist, insulting and abusive comments on OSM related channels

I assume that you got directed to the Discord server in question after
editing with iD?

The thing to understand that neither the server itself, nor the
compilation of resources that led to you being sent there
(https://github.com/osmlab/osm-community-index) is in any way official
or vetted. Particularly in the case of channels that claim wide
geographic reach this is problematic, as essentially the only criteria
for inclusion boils down to "not already being in the list" and this can
lead to a niche group being presented in a way that is widely outside
their actual importance in the OSM ecosystem.

So sorry for your experience.  To resolve the matter I've requested that
the Discord server be removed from the list
https://github.com/osmlab/osm-community-index/pull/424
