Sounds like a good idea. If you can automate this, you could run a few
tests, see how it goes, and then do it on a larger scale.

Bonus points if you can document the process for other people to reproduce,
critisise and maybe even improve.

P.s. Be aware that some mappers dislike large bboxes, so you might want to
keep the edits somewhat regional.
